Evacuation

If the fire alarm sounds or you are otherwise notified to evacuate the building, exit via the stairwells. Exit at Floor 1 and rendezvous with your employees. Someone in your suite should verify that all employees and visitors are accounted for upon evacuation from the building. The Fire Department will need verification that your space is completely clear in order to proceed with further emergency efforts

All evacuated occupants are to remain at least 100 feet from the building in the designated assembly area until Fire Department personnel notify tenants that it is safe to return to their normal workspace.

The design of Summit Crossing MOB incorporates the following features to ensure fire protection and life safety:

  1. Emergency Exits with illuminated EXIT Signage

  1. Manual Alarm Pull-Stations

  1. Fire extinguishers strategically placed throughout the building

  1. Electronic Detection and Alarm Devices (smoke detectors, horns, strobes)

  1. Emergency Lighting with battery and generator back-up incase of power loss

  1. Stairwell doors and walls within a minimum fire safety rating of two (2) hours to provide a safe escape route.

  1. Elevator recall system which automatically sends the elevators to the nearest ground-level floor in the event of a fire alarm and releases passengers for evacuation.  Once recalled, the elevators will not operate unless a special key is used by fire fighters.
